Who we are?

Orion Laser Tech is a division of Leuven Air Bearings, a high-tech company specialized in advanced motion performance. We build machines to process glass with laser and deliver them all over the globe.

Our solutions have a positive contribution to society by e.g. turning glass into bird friendly glass and make radiation blocking glass coatings transparent for 4G and 5G. If you want to contribute to these developments and discover others, apply for one of our jobs!

Our company has a tradition of continuous improvement and growth in the development of new products. To achieve this, we rely on an excellent team of PhDs, development engineers and well-trained technicians as well a professional sales team.

Currently, we’re looking for a Project Leader Laser Machines.

Your job:

Responsibility: Deliver the project from start to installation; according to the requirements of the customer, within time and budget.
Collaborate with your colleagues, who are experts in their domain (mechanic design, electrics, optics, process development…) and will help you reaching the project goals.
Discuss with suppliers and the Customer.
Make and maintain a resource planning in collaboration with other project leaders and the operations manager.
Organize and lead review meetings with the project team.

Your profile:

When taking decisions, you balance the interests of the different stake holders.
You are able to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
You have at least 7 years of expertise in industrial project management or in machine building.
You know how to get results in a multidisciplinary team, how to enthusiasm your colleagues and get results.
You are a reliable partner for your customers.
You achieved a M.Sc. or PhD degree (mechatronics, mechanical engineering, …)
