Currently we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our high-tech, high-precision products in a low volume environment. You will work closely with the production team to identify and implement process improvements, troubleshoot production and field issues, and optimize manufacturing processes. More than only with the production team, you will work closely with our suppliers for the same purpose and for deploying supplier development programs as a support to our supply chain management team. Overall, Manufacturing processes within LAB cover everything between the activities at the suppliers and the actual shipment to the final customer, incl. packaging in all steps of the process.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tools and procedures to improve production efficiency, On Time Delivery and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability & serviceability.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, screen and contain production, supplier & field issues, and implement permanent solutions in line with the 8D concept.
  • Report on this trouble shooting, screening, containment actions, root causes permanent improvement, preventive measures for internal (lessons learned) and external use (customers)
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Set-up, evaluate continuously, monitor incoming quality inspection of critical parts & critical parameters. Execution of incoming quality on a regular basis.
  • Train and mentor production personnel & suppliers on manufacturing processes, expectations and procedures.
  • Lead & participate continuous improvement initiatives in relation with operations’ key performance indicators.
  • Enable & support digital processing of the data and use statistical quality tools for prioritization and tracking of changes (such as ‘Pareto’, Gantt chart’, ‘SPC charts’)
  • Manage the calibration program for the measurement devices within entire company
  • Lead, execute Risk Assessments on safety and contribute to the Year-Action-Plans, Global Prevention Planning
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing engineering.

We look for

  • Master degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering or Bachelor degree with more relevant experience.
  • Polyvalent in terms of precision mechanics, electronics, low tension electrics, metrology, controllers.
  • Hands on (testing, measuring experiments, screen)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role in a low volume, high-tech industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistical quality tools, and process tools.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Green belt or Black belt is considered as an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in line with 8D concept.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software applications.
  • Dutch & English speaking (both mandatory)
